Our Story

What this room
has built.

Each name below was chosen by this room. Local nonprofits one quarter. Global the next.

Healthy Start Pittsburgh

$2,800 from this room

Healthy Start works across Pittsburgh to eliminate infant mortality and the racial disparities in maternal health that drive it. Their teams walk with mothers from prenatal care through the postpartum year, with home visits, doulas, breastfeeding support, and mental health care for moms facing depression. Every child deserves a healthy start.

Living in Liberty

$2,425 from this room

Living in Liberty operates a Safe Home for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation, with a 12 to 18 month recovery program built around counseling, addiction recovery, and life skill training. Their street outreach team serves women weekly in Homewood, the North Side, New Kensington, and Butler.

The Asservo Project

$1,650 from this room

Based in Moon Township, The Asservo Project works to combat human trafficking and child exploitation. They gather intelligence alongside law enforcement, train Pittsburgh communities to recognize the signs, and walk with survivors as they rebuild their lives.

Dress for Success Pittsburgh

$1,450 from this room

Dress for Success Pittsburgh empowers women entering or returning to the workforce with professional attire, career readiness, and a community of support. Their mobile boutiques meet women where they are across Allegheny, Butler, Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties.

Stronger 2gether

$1,800 from this room

Stronger 2gether, also known as Sisters Helping Sisters Win, provides a nurturing space for women to learn, connect, and thrive. The Helping Hands Scholarship supports women rebuilding their lives, and the chapter brings sisters across the region into community with each other.

Last Mile 4D

$2,630 from this room

Last Mile 4D works in the most remote Kenyan communities to end Female Genital Mutilation, partnering with parents, schools, and local leaders. Their solar powered training platform has helped spare more than 5,000 girls from the practice and changed how entire villages think about a girl's right to her own body.

CEED Trust

$1,950 from this room

For more than 25 years, CEED Trust has been drilling wells across Uganda and East Africa. Over 1,000 wells. More than a million people with daily access to clean water. Each well is built by a Ugandan team and handed over to the village to maintain into the future.

Cutting Edge Relief Nepal

$1,950 from this room

Founded and run from Pittsburgh, Cutting Edge Relief Nepal supports a children's home in Nepal and provides direct service to families on the edge of survival. Their work is personal, hands on, and built on long relationships with the communities they serve.

The Quarterly Meeting

Four steps. One hour. Real money in real hands.

We do not draft mission statements. We do not run capital campaigns. We gather, we listen, we vote, and we hand a check to the nonprofit that won the room.

01

Members gather, nonprofits arrive

One hour, once a quarter, on Mt. Washington with the Pittsburgh skyline through the windows. Drinks. Catching up. Welcoming new faces. Every nonprofit serving women and girls is welcome to attend.

02

Every nonprofit gets 30 seconds

Before any pitches, every nonprofit in attendance stands and gives a 30-second introduction. No slides, no formality. The whole room hears who showed up.

03

Three are drawn to pitch

Members write down one nonprofit they want to nominate on a ballot. Three ballots are drawn from a hat. Those three get five minutes each to tell their story. The hat decides.

04

Members vote, the winner walks out funded

Anonymous ballots. One vote per member. One hundred dollars per member, pooled, handed over that night. No grant cycle, no quarterly report, no waiting.

Membership

A Note from the Chapter Leader

Giving creates harmony.
Harmony creates horsepower.

The last thing any of us need is another networking event.

Who can relate to doing incredible things in their professional careers, breaking every glass ceiling, but still feeling like something is missing? That's you searching for the thing that actually fuels you, which for many women is positively impacting other women and girls right here in their neighborhoods and around the world.

Every quarter, we gather at Le Mont. We eat together. We hear from an organization doing real work right here in Pittsburgh. And then we pool our resources, $100 each, and we give it all to one cause. 100% of that $100 goes directly to the chosen 501(c)(3) that quarter. No membership fee.

What I've learned is this is actually more than just raising funds. Yes, the money matters. But the proximity matters more.

When you're IN the room, hearing directly from the people doing the work, looking them in the eye, asking questions, feeling what they feel, that's when it clicks. Inspired Women means we don't just donate. We become connected to the impact.

Want to know a really amazing part of you as a human? When you give back, when you help someone who will never know your name, when you see your donation in action, your nervous system regulates. The endless hours you put into your work, every ounce of the grinding, instead of you burning out, you actually start glowing. You remember why you're building your business in the first place. To positively impact as many people as you can.

Inspired Women means you don't have to choose between building your business and making an impact. You do both. At the same time. In the same room.

That's what it means to me.

Guests Welcome

Curious? Come once.

Members can bring a guest to any quarterly event. That is how most of us joined.

Come sit at the table. Come meet these women. Come be a part of something that when you talk about it, you cannot help but smile.
