Inspired Women – Downtown Pittsburgh is a quarterly gathering where women come together to support nonprofits serving women and girls, locally and around the world. 

We keep it simple, meaningful, and on time.

Why this exists

If you’ve ever felt the pull to do more: to give back, to show up, to make a difference, this is the room to be in.

At each meeting, you’ll hear from nonprofits doing incredible work for women and girls. You’ll learn how to get involved. And you’ll experience what happens when small, consistent giving becomes collective impact.

how it works

  • We meet quarterly for a one-hour giving event

  • We rotate: Local nonprofit one quarter, then Global nonprofit the next

  • Members nominate nonprofits serving women and girls

  • Nonprofits have the opportunity to share what they would do with the funds (3 minutes each)

    If more than 3 nonprofits attend, three are selected by a hat draw to present

  • Votes are counted immediately and the winner is announced that night

  • Members vote by paper ballot

Membership

Membership is $100 per quarter

  • Members are the only ones who vote.

  • Your donation goes directly to the selected nonprofit through our online giving platform

  • 100% of your $100 supports the winning organization.

  • Can’t attend a quarter? Members may send a proxy in their place.

Guests are welcome

You do not have to be a member to attend.

Guests are welcome to join us, bring friends, and experience the mission of Inspired Women. Guests are also welcome to donate to the selected nonprofit.

We simply ask that you RSVP if possible so we can plan accordingly.

Our Impact

To date, our chapter has raised $14,675 for nonprofits serving women and girls.

Our next goal is 50 ACTIVE members — so we can give $5,000 per quarter.

A note from our chapter president

Hey there! I'm Rachel Maga, and I'm the Chapter President for Inspired Women – Downtown Pittsburgh.

I started this chapter because I wanted to create a space where women could come together with real purpose, not to network for ourselves or promote our businesses, but to shine a bright light on the women and organizations doing incredible work for women and girls, both right here in Pittsburgh and around the world.

My hope is that every single time you leave one of our meetings, you walk out feeling inspired, not just by the nonprofits you learned about, but by the reminder that you can absolutely be part of change. Whether that looks like volunteering your time, making a donation, sharing a mission with a friend, or just showing up again next quarter, it ALL matters. Every bit of it.

To me, impact is like tossing a pebble into the water. We only meet quarterly, but the ripple effect? That's constant. When each of us walks out of that room and does one small gesture, one intentional act of kindness, support, or generosity, those ripples travel so much farther than we'll ever see.
